If you don’t subscribe to the free digital edition of Digital Video Magazine, you really should! This months edition was a corker with excellent articles from Oliver Peters on ARRI Alexa color grading workflow (p.68-71), another on RED workflow (p.60-63) and a great 3 page explanation of different digital cameras and color dissemination (4:4:4, 4:2:2 etc) by Jay Holben. Not to mention an over view of all the major 4K cameras and a great piece of Thelma Schnoonmaker editing Scorcese’s Hugo in 3D. FYI She uses Lightworks which allows for stereoscopic 3D editing. Sold yet?
