How to manage your hard drive space

Keeping track of what is taking up space on your hard drives (especially if you use a lot of portable drives for different clients and different projects) can be problematic, especially when you need to make space in a hurry.

Diskdaisy is small app which visualises the contents of your hard drive and helps you make space quickly, by deleting what you don’t need… NoFilmSchool has a good post about it here. Here is a straightforward video tutorial for DiskDaisy.

If you don’t want to spend the cash, Omni Disk Sweeper is a free (but less fancy) alternative, to help you get your drives cleaned up and cleaned out.
