Conform FCP timeline to r3d files automatically

Michael Cinquin – an editor from Belgium – has created some life saving tools for film editors (which can only be found online) and one in particular will help you to conform your FCP offline edit, cut with transcoded red media,  back to the RED native r3d files reading for online and finishing color correction.

How to conform your FCP timeline back to the original RED media

Using Michael’s website you simply export your timeline via xml. Upload that xml, process it and then download the xml file his site creates along with a small .app file.

This can then be imported back into final cut and your media re-linked. He helpfully provides a straight forward video tutorial to make it crystal clear.

If find it useful, you can always donate.
