The Director’s Guild of America has a lengthy and enjoyable interview with Nolan, taking a break from editing The Dark Knight Rises, the third and final Batman film in Nolan’s trilogy (also edited by Nolan’s regular editor Lee Smith) to discuss his approach to filmmaking (he often shoots single camera), not using 2nd Units, working with actors, avoiding 3-D and his penchant for IMAX among many other topics.
