How To Be A DIT – The Complete Series

How To Be A DIT – Series Table of Contents

How to be a DIT

I’ve written up a fair few posts in my ‘How To Be A DIT’ series here on the blogs, and it was wisely suggested that I put together a post giving a table of contents of what’s in each post and pulling all the links together in one place.

Hopefully this will be ever-more useful as I add more posts and keep this one updated. That said, there are plenty of other posts on the blog that would be useful to a DIT and can be found in the DIT category.

A good example of this is a post like 5 Books To Help You Learn How To Be A DIT, or Free DIT Training from Light Iron Digital.

  • Hi Jonny,

I love this series. I was wondering if you could cover DIT day rates. As far as i know there are a few ways to go about it. Basic day rates, tier(budget) based rates, and then day rates with add-on services…iPad Dailies, LTO.

    • Hi Andrew,
As I’m a freelance editor by trade and not a DIT, I wouldn’t really be able to speak to day rates specifically – but possibly other DITs reading this might be able to give you a steer in the right direction?
